Track 10 – Seven Times – Imphenzia 1 Track Per Day Release Marathon

UPDATE: This track has been removed from SoundCloud - you can still get it from http://music.imphenzia.com.

Welcome to my complete 1 track per day #Imphenzia release marathon. Every day until I run out of tracks I will release one of my tracks as a free download and write some history behind it.

If you like my music, if you want to support it, and if you don’t want to wait for the entire marathon to finish – you can download all my music as MP3 and FLAC files from http://music.imphenzia.com for what you think it is worth ($2 – $50) – there are 109 tracks to grab =)

Time has come for a very early Imphenzia release and Seven Times, the 10th track in this release marathon, was the 5th track released by Imphenzia in June 1998. It is unlike any of my other tracks and probably most true to the Goa genre of all my releases. It was heavily inspired by Astral Projection that I felt produced the best music in that genre.

I had borrowed an EMU sampler from a friend and I had just purchased my Roland JX305 - non of which were particularly suitable for that style of music but I remember being very happy with the result. Most of the more psychedelic Goa-like sounds were produced in some software that I can't remember the name of quite... Rubber Duck or something possibly?

I don't listen to tracks from Sector nowadays but if I had to pick one, Seven Times is probably the track I would prefer and to me it is somewhat timeless even if the genre has since long lost its popularity. Sector was my first album and in a drawer behind me I still have the CDR with Sector with writing in the Jewel case "#1 copy of Sector" - I've been close to throwing it away when I tidy up, and I'm not sure it even works being that old, but I still have it in the drawer.
