Track 22 – I Am Imphenzia – Imphenzia 1 Track Per Day Release Marathon

Welcome to my complete 1 track per day #Imphenzia release marathon. Every day until I run out of tracks I will release one of my tracks as a free download and write some history behind it.

I Am Imphenzia was released 1st February 2012 and I made it specifically to work with a 3D video I was making at the time. I spend a long time modelling and rigging my alien in 3D software and then rendering and post processing video to make some visuals for the track. After throwing hours and hours on this I realized that it may not be worth the time I was putting in so in the end I decided to call it off and release what I had made so far - this was the result:
It wasn't wasted time though. I learned a lot about 3D modelling techniques, character skinning and rigging, character animation, cloth simulation, smoke simulation, crowd simulation, and post processing of video. Everything I learned is very handy for gamedev and creating assets and videos so in the end it turned out to be time well spent even if the video itself isn't all that amazing =)
The name I Am Imphenzia was chosen since it was the first time my logo alien would take the 3D shape of a character. The track also represents the true essence of Imphenzia which is the atmospheric oldschool trance I make. I've also made a relaxed chillout edit of this track that I'm very happy with.
I Am Imphenzia is the title track of the "Best Of" album with the same name released in 2012. This album features what I think are my best tracks over the 16 year existence of Imphenzia.
